- Establishment: Inaugurated on 6 August 2022, with the National Medical Commission (NMC) granting official permission to operate on 18 April 2023.
- Affiliation & Approval: Affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, and recognized by the NMC

Nestled in the serene and historic Ananthagiri Hills, our college offers not just a picturesque learning environment, but also a unique opportunity to be part of a legacy. Originally established as a tuberculosis sanatorium in 1946, our campus has been transformed into a modern medical institution, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and guided by the standards of the National Medical Commission (NMC).

As of June 2025, Government Medical College (GMC) Vikarabad is a relatively new institution, established in 2022. Consequently, it does not yet have a formal alumni association or a documented history of alumni activities. The college is situated in a historic TB sanatorium building in Vikarabad, Telangana, and is affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal.
